PHILIPSBURG--Holland House staffers participated in the first annual Customer Service Week training event that was held on Monday.

Staffers attended the customised training developed by Customer Service Mobile Academy (CSMA) entitled “The Holland House Culture of Excellence Course.” During this course the workers were introduced to a series of topics that “integrated global best practices and fostered an engaging atmosphere of fruitful employee interaction, cooperative learning, bonding and team building,” it was stated in a press release.

Participants were presented with certified international certificates from CSMA. “The certificate illustrated their commitment to the Holland House and, most importantly, a commitment to ‘self,’” the press release said.

CSMA official Natasha Gittens, who facilitated the session, said the trainings do not focus solely on the organisation or entity. “We understand that when employee(s) are confident, take accountability for their roles and work in a team-oriented environment, they soar in providing customer service excellence to clients, customers and guests,” she said.

Luisanny Martha, who participated in the training course, said, “It was really successful and communicated perfectly. The course information will help me to improve my service to my guests, which will help the overall Holland House culture.”

Shenieka Blake said the training had been excellent and very eye-opening.

Customer Service Week will continue until Friday, December 1. Additional information can be obtained by visiting
