Hit & run

On Sunday, April 8, around 2:00am, a hit and run took place on Catherine Lespier Road in St. Eustatius. The owner of the vehicle, “Lady of Culture” Marcella Gibbs-Marsdin said she heard a hard blow outside her home and saw a car driving away in the distance.

In the morning, it appeared the vehicle had collided with her car, which was parked alongside the road. The car, a Nissan, sustained damage to the bumper, the right front tyre and to the left side of the vehicle. The force of the impact was so strong it left tyre indentations in the ground and pushed the car into the wall of the resident’s home, which caused damage on both sides of the parked vehicle. The case is being investigated, Caribbean Netherlands Police Force KPCN reported.
