Health Study Project Coordinator Eric Vos and other personnel carry the study banner.

ST. EUSTATIUS--The Health Study on St. Eustatius holds its final day today, Friday. Interviewers will be available from 8:00am until 3:00pm in the basement of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. All residents who have been invited to be part of the survey, but have not yet had their interview are encouraged by survey organizers do so today.

For the last few days, a town crier has driven around the island in the early morning and late afternoon encouraging persons to come out to the Health Study.

The Health Study seeks to establish if residents are sufficiently protected against infectious diseases such as measles or polio as well as the general health situation and living conditions.

The results of this study will be used to help prevent and combat diseases more effectively in the future.

A team from the Netherlands is assisting the Public Health Department with gathering the information for the survey.
