It was a pre-St. Maarten Day rain marathon Saturday evening, causing lots of flooding on both sides of the island.
Public Works officials had their hands full during the evening with a number of streets affected by rock slides. Police officers were seen on Cole Bay Hill guiding motorists through the debris. Several event organisers cancelled their planned events due to the inclement weather.
