Half a dozen

St. Maarten saw her first six-cruise-ship day on Wednesday after an extended period. Seeing more than two ships in port was a norm for the country prior to the 2017 hurricanes. The post-hurricane cruise numbers are climbing again and Port St. Maarten and the country in general hope for continued growth.

Tourism Minister Stuart Johnson visited the Port to chat with cruise visitors, among them returning cruisers Joyce and Bob Brown of Virginia. In port were cruise ships “Star Pride”, “MSC Seaside”, “Marella Explorer”, “Norwegian Dawn”, “Adventure of the Seas” and “Carnival Pride”.
