SUCKER GARDEN--A gun-toting man stormed Beauty Crystal Bar and Restaurant in Sucker Garden around 10:00pm Saturday and carted off an undisclosed sum of cash, and money from one of the customers who was in the eatery at the time.
Police spokesperson Chief Inspector Ricardo Henson said in a police press release on Monday that information received indicated that the suspect, who had been dressed in dark clothing and armed with a handgun walked directly up to the female manager who was busy in the kitchen at the time. The suspect threatened her with his firearm and then took her to the cash register located in the bar section of the facility.
The suspect then stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and also threatened customers who had been in the bar at the time. One unlucky customer was robbed of his money. The suspect fled the scene on foot after the robbery. Henson said the Special Robbery Unit is investigating the incident.
