Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications (TEATT) Ministry representatives recently attended the Caribbean Association of Gaming Regulation sixth Annual Caribbean and Americas Gaming Regulation Forum in Miami, Florida. The forum brought together regulators, casino operators, online gaming operators, law enforcement, prosecutors, tax and revenue authorities, accountancy firms, banks servicing the gaming industry, legal counsel, and compliance and financial professionals to discuss challenges, opportunities and the latest developments related to the global gaming industry. The ministry is gathering information about international trends and developments related to regulation of the gaming and lottery industries, as these are dynamic and ever-evolving sectors. It is government’s intention to put the regulatory gaming framework (gaming regulation) in place to improve transparency and greater social responsibility, said TEATT Minister Stuart Johnson.
