Residents of Nazareth in Dutch Quarter and surrounding areas are calling on authorities, in particular on Minister of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure VROMI Christophe Emmanuel to give some attention to a heavily deteriorated main section of this street, which developed several potholes after Hurricanes Irma and Maria and the heavy rains that ensued after the storms.
An entire section of the main entrance to the area has developed potholes, which severely slows down traffic in the area. Motorists fear that the potholes will damage their vehicles and they pose a risk to pedestrians who have to traverse the area. Residents are calling on Emmanuel to do his utmost under the current circumstances to fix the section of the road, which is also traversed by school buses in the area.
