Fuel prices going up by Thursday

PHILIPSBURG--The maximum consumer prices of unleaded gasoline (ULG) and diesel fuel have been adjusted and both will become more expensive as of 6:00am Thursday, July 19, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunication (TEATT).

The new maximum price for ULG is NAf. 2.157 per litre compared to NAf. 2.120 per litre, while the new maximum price for diesel fuel will be NAf. 1.686 per litre compared to NAf. 1.659 per litre.

The government of St. Maarten regulates the prices of petroleum products by imposing a maximum price at which wholesalers and retailers can sell these products in St. Maarten.

Due to ongoing developments on the international level, the prices of crude oil have experienced adjustments upward for ULG and diesel fuel, TEATT stated in a public announcement.
