FQ pharmacy robber  handed 4 years in jail

MARIGOT--A 21-year-old St. Martiner was sentenced – by the court in Basse Terre, Guadeloupe, on Friday – to four years in prison for the aggravated robbery of a pharmacy in French Quarter on December 24, 2019, and a scooter theft committed at gunpoint in Bellevue on March 24, the Prosecutor’s Office disclosed.

Already convicted 12 times in St. Martin, he was located and arrested last Sunday by the Gendarmerie. On Saturday he was placed on-board the navy supply vessel Dumont D’Urville to be transferred to Guadeloupe to serve his sentence. The ship was calling there to deliver supplies.

Last month this individual was sentenced in St. Maarten as an accomplice in the murder of a Quebec tourist in Maho.
