AIRPORT--The Meteorological Department has discontinued the flood watch for St. Maarten at 6:00am.
Radar and Satellite imagery are indicating that convection across the region has dissipated significantly overnight, as the tropical wave continues to move away from the region. As a result, the possibility for heavy rainfall activity has reduced over the local area.
All residents and users of areas prone to flooding and landslides should continue to be vigilant, said the Met Department.
