Windward Islands Teachers Union (WITU) President Claire Elshot remains in police custody after being arrested on Monday afternoon. Elshot appeared in front of the Judge of Instruction on Thursday morning. The judge plans to give his decision today, Friday on whether to prolong her detention or keep her behind bars. She is suspected of defamation of character and obstruction of justice.
