St. Maarten Fire Chief Clive Richardson (left) said on Monday that fire chiefs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and an expert group met in St. Maarten last week to discuss various forms of cooperation. Fire Chiefs from Aruba, Curaçao, St. Maarten, Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba, the Saba fire chief’s secretary and representatives of the fire departments in the Netherlands held discussions with respect to cooperation and the way forward. The agenda points discussed during the meeting related to training of fire department personnel, education and firefighting equipment. The meeting is held on one of the islands about twice a year.
