PHILIPSBURG--The Police Traffic Department was out in full force on Monday morning after hearing about a fatal accident.
According to the report, the driver of a small Hyundai I-10 with licence plate 368ZBG971, Cornel Scarborough (63), fell ill behind the steering wheel while driving on Walter Nisbeth Road coming from Freedom Fighter roundabout.
He lost control of his vehicle and ran head on into the roundabout. The victim lost consciousness and was treated on the scene by the paramedics, but died shortly afterward. A medical doctor pronounced his death. The victim’s body was subsequently turned over to family members.
