Residents have taken road works into their own hands as much as possible in some areas.
This pothole on Cannegieter Street was “patched” with an old tire to warn motorists to avoid dropping into the chasm and to give some cushion for those who do drop in. This deterioration of the road started before Hurricane Irma and has gotten progressively worse since September.
