St. EUSTATIUS--The Dawn Mass Services at the Roman Catholic Church of St. Eustatius, which commenced on December 16, concluded on Christmas Eve, December 24.

Pastor Simon Wilson conducted the two daily services throughout the week on various topics. One of these topics was the renovation of the church rectory, which is expected to commence in January and scheduled for completion in June 2019.

The rectory renovation is one of several projects the parish wants to execute in the coming years. Contributions and donations are still welcomed towards this project, Wilson said.

He wished everyone a “Christ-filled” Christmas and also extended his best wishes to the church and the community of Statia for a bright and prosperous 2019. “In 2019 we will all grow together with love and harmony,” he said.

A Christmas Mass was also held at the church during which the Catholic Angels took prominence.

The New Year’s Eve Mass is scheduled for Monday, December 31, at 10:30pm. Father Wilson will then usher in the New Year with those in attendance.
