Curaçao crowns a new beauty queen

WILLEMSTAD--Kyrsha Attaf is the new Miss Curaçao and will officially represent the Dutch Caribbean country at the Miss Universe 2019 pageant in South Korea on December 19.

  She succeeds, and was crowned by, Miss Curaçao 2018 Akisha Albert. Kyrsha bested five other contestants to win the national title.

  Chantal Wiertz is first runner-up (Miss World) and Liane Bonofacia second runner-up.

  Albert represented Curaçao at Miss Universe last year and placed in the Top 20. The island’s beauty queens have finished as high as second, but are yet to win the competition.
