CSI re-enacting helmet awareness day in French Quarter Thursday

CSI will be organizing a helmet awareness day this coming Thursday in French Quarter.

MARIGOT--Centre Symphorien d’Insertion (CSI) will be repeating its crash helmet awareness day this coming Thursday, April 12, at the Maison de Quartier, French Quarter, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. The location has been changed due to the kiosk being destroyed in Hurricane Irma.

The awareness and information session will be held in collaboration with the Gendarmerie for the benefit of youths in French Quarter and other districts. Emphasis is on safety and prevention of accidents.

Other subjects will include the importance of having insurance and training on practical skills of riding two-wheeled vehicles. Youths will be able to register for this training course.

Discussions and exchanges will include the typical causes of accidents and how to prevent them as well as the importance of wearing helmet, gloves and suitable clothing.

CSI encourages the youths to attend this free awareness morning.
