Ministers Lee and Johnson and their support representatives with Raymond Jessurun of St. Maarten Consumer Coalition.
PHILIPSBURG--Minister of Health, Labour and Social Affairs VSA Emil Lee and Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications (TEATT) Stuart Johnson met with St. Maarten Consumer Coalition on a number of issues on Thursday.
Lee said the meeting had been positive. He said the active participation of local stakeholder groups is important in the development of Government’s plans and execution.
“When we discuss topics such as human rights, it is safe to say that we all agree that the access to quality and affordable health care for the residents of St. Maarten is something we all want,” Lee said. “These meetings will continue on a more frequent basis with our technical support staff, in preparation for further meetings with the ministers.”
Lee said government wants to improve communication and exchange, and he remains positive that “we are on the right track moving forward, in the best interest of our people."
