Four youngsters – Navienska Cuvalay, Kenchelin Busby, Cathryn Sanchez and Marshel Herman – on St. Eustatius received the Sacrament of Confirmation from Father Peter de Jong in the Catholic Church on Monday. The service is normally conducted by Bishop Luigi Secco, but he took ill while on St. Maarten. Teachers Canielle Silent, Priscilla Williano and Brenda van Putten administered the children’s lessons in preparation for the sacrament. The children each received their certificate and a gift. The reception was enjoyed by all after the service.
