Women staffers of the Secretariat and faction offices of Parliament House received a token of appreciation from Parliament Chairwoman Sarah Wescot-Williams on Thursday in celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD). She thanked them for their dedication and service to Parliament and the community.
She also expressed her desire to give every woman resident a token of appreciation “considering that over the past months, we have all in one way or another felt the effects of the recent circumstances our country has been faced with; yet despite these challenges, we have all managed to pull through.” All women of St. Maarten were encouraged to continue to “Press for Progress” – the theme of IWD 2018.
