WILLEMSTAD--The Central Bank of Curaçao and St. Maarten (CBCS) has taken note of publications in the Curaçao media suggesting the Kingdom Detective Cooperation Team RST is investigating the bank’s IT-network in relation to the “Safire” investigation with permission of the judge.
These reports also suggested that cameras were installed in and around CBCS to obtain visual footage. Management of the joint monetary authority and financial sector supervisor “adamantly condemns these publications that are not based on the truth and deeply regrets these unfounded insinuations.”
