Amsterdam-based educator Roos Kolfschote (left) collected more than 70 desktop computers from several schools in Amsterdam for students in St. Maarten. Kolfschote recently visited Sister Regina Primary School, which will receive a number of the computers along with other schools. Kolfschote said her eyes were opened to see the schools in St. Maarten and she promised to continue her efforts to seek additional items for schools in the country such as materials for gym classes. She had worked with her students just after Hurricane Irma and raised 600 euros and collected nearly 700 backpacks for children in St. Maarten. She thanked her employer Arie van Loon of AMOS foundation, under which 29 Amsterdam-based schools fall, and GLE Caribbean Line official Robert Walraven, who made it possible to transport everything to St. Maarten for free.
