Nurses Week was marked on St. Eustatius with a walkathon on Wednesday evening. Nurses from Queen Beatrix Medical Centre, St. Eustatius Auxiliary Home, Community Home Care, NuStar/Statia Terminal Safety Department and a number of residents walked the route from F.D. Roosevelt Airport to Earl N.
Merkman Sports Auditorium. Police escorted the walkers through the streets. A ceremony in honour of Nurses Day will be held today, Friday, in the Auxiliary Home.
