Car hits student driving scooter

 

SOUTH REWARD--The Police Traffic Department was called to a scene in South Reward on Tuesday afternoon to investigate a case involving a traffic accident between a vehicle and a St. Maarten Vocational Training School student riding a scooter near the junction of L.B. Scott Road and Messapple Road.

According to police on Tuesday evening, the driver of vehicle did not give right of way to the oncoming scooter, which caused them to collide. The student suffered minor injuries, but he was transported to the hospital for further treatment.

Police officers found out that the student was driving the scooter without a licence plate or any other documents, and confiscated the scooter.
