Book on dissolving islands’ Parliaments

The authors presented a first copy to Curaçao Governor Lucille George-Wout

WILLEMSTAD--Curaçao Attorney-at-law Karel Frielink and Professor Lodewijk Rogier of the Erasmus School of Law, on Tuesday, presented their publication on the early dissolving of the Parliaments of Aruba, Curaçao and St. Maarten.

The book contains advices rendered between 1989 and 2017 by experts, political advisors and the Council of State regarding the right of the government to dissolve the Parliaments in Aruba, Curaçao and St. Maarten.

The book is highly relevant as it coincides with constitutional developments in recent years in the three Dutch Caribbean countries. The publication is useful for everyone who is interested in the developments of constitutional law, whether by profession or as a regular citizen.

Frielink and Rogier presented the first copy of their publication to Curaçao Governor Lucille George-Wout.
