Bonaire crisis

“Movementu di Pueblo Boneriano” (MPB) leader Elvis Tjin-Asjoe has pulled out of the governing agreement he signed with independent Island Council members Jeanoushka “Nunu” Raphaela and Esther Bernabela (photo) as well as UPB’s James Kroon (not in picture) a year ago. The party says it’s tired of discussions within the coalition on who is to become commissioner, while social circumstances on the island demand attention. The move comes on the heels of Clark Abraham breaking with opposition party PDB and also going independent just a week after he was sworn in as Island Council member.
