Bienvenido Richardson is selected for GEBE board

PHILIPSBURG--Bienvenido Richardson has been selected as the candidate to fill the vacant spot on the Supervisory Board of Directors of utilities company GEBE.

  Minister of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure VROMI Christophe Emmanuel told reporters on Wednesday that a meeting will be convened by government at the shareholder of GEBE today Thursday, to make the appointment official. He said the appointment will complete all positions on the board of GEBE. Richardson is a former educator, chemist and laboratory technician.

He worked at Milton Peters College from 1983 to 2015, and had been Leader of the United People Labour Party.

  One GEBE board position became vacant when Romeo Pantophlet left to take up a position as Member of Parliament for the National Alliance party several months ago.

  GEBE’s supervisory board should consist of seven members. The remaining six members are Roy Marlin (Chairman), Oral Gibbes, Tadzio Bervoets, Sandy Offringa, Agnes Monte and Patrice Gumbs.
