Nature Foundation has expressed concerns about increased parking and driving on Great Bay Beach, particularly now that it is turtle nesting season.
The vibrations of cars and cars parked on beach areas are a serious threat to nesting sea turtles, their nests and hatchlings once they emerge out of their nests, said the Foundation. Of particular concern is the area in the vicinity of Sea Palace Hotel and Walter Plantz Square. Nature Foundation has learnt that complaints were filed with authorities against cars driving and parking on the beach and requests that stakeholders and decision-makers take these complaints seriously.
