Banks clarifies $2 fee increase

ANGUILLA--Chief Minister Victor Banks has explained the US $10 fee that will be charged to each passenger manifested on a boat coming to Anguilla on August Monday. He said that there is nothing new about the fee, as persons leaving Anguilla always pay an embarkation tax of US $8. The only new part of the fee is the US $2 environmental levy that will be added to the US $8 making a total of US $10.

He said that boat captains will be responsible for listing all passengers on the manifest and for collecting the US $10.
