PHILIPSBURG--Suspects A.G. and K.C.J.B. were arrested Tuesday morning after an intense chase by police through the hills in Defiance by police officers, on suspicion of an attempted armed robbery that took place earlier that day.
The homes of the suspects in Bishop hill and in Defiance were searched on Tuesday afternoon in connection with the investigation, with permission of the Judge of Instruction and the Prosecutor. A handgun and other items possibly used during this attempted robbery were found during the search at the home of the suspect in Bishop Hill. The gun and other items were confiscated for further investigation.
The police press release did not indicate where the attempted robbery took place.
