Art Saves Lives reception for artistes and sponsors

COLE BAY--Art Saves Lives (ASL) held a reception Sunday for sponsors and the visiting and local artistes participating in the foundation’s fifth annual Summer Intensive. The event, which was held at Rum and Peas, was sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunication TEATT.

“Continental Drift” is the forthcoming showcase of St. Maarten’s Art Saves Lives Foundation. Through time-lapsed rhythms, poetry and dance, this work explores the natural and political forces that have shifted and shaped us.

ASL’s Summer Intensive will be held at National Institute of Arts (NIA) at John Larmonie Center and L.B. Scott Sports Auditorium in Philipsburg. The Student Showcase will be held at Philipsburg Cultural and Community Center on Saturday, July 15, at 7:00pm. Tickets for the performance are available at John Larmonie Center and from any ASL member.
