United States Ambassador to the Netherlands Peter Hoekstra, Dutch Ambassador to the US Hendrik “Henne” Schuwer and US Consul General for the Dutch Caribbean Margaret Hawthorne met with Acting Prime Minister Perry Geerlings on Wednesday.
Discussed were the status of pending US pre-clearance for immigration and customs at Princess Juliana International Airport and other topics of mutual interest. Also in the meeting were representative of the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary-General for the Ministry of General Affairs. Hoekstra is on a visit to all the Dutch Caribbean islands.
