Amateur Cookoff during Statia Day Activity Week

 ST. EUSTATIUS--An Amateur Cookoff is set to be held in St. Eustatius during the Statia Day Week of Activities on Tuesday, November 13. The event is being organized by intern Shanettie Carty at St. Eustatius Tourism Development Foundation’s (STDF’s) office in the historical Godet’s House.

The amateur cookoff will be held at the Statia Day stage across from Charlie’s Place and Gertrude Judson Bicentennial Public Library.

The deadline to register for the cookoff is today Tuesday, November 6. Interested persons may contact Carty at STDF, or call tel. 318-2433.

Persons wishing to enter the competition will receive a list of ingredients with which they will have to prepare a three-course meal. Participants must prepare their dishes at home and present these to a panel consisting of three judges on the night of the competition. The winner will be taking home a cash prize of US $700.
