Join TelEm for a day of FUN

~ And help raise funds for local charities ~

The TelEm Group Personnel Association is inviting the general public to a fun day of activities to help raise much-needed funds for three important organizations on St. Maarten.

The day set aside for the event is Sunday, June 26, from 5:00am until 5:00pm, during which there will be a host of activities powered by TelEm personnel. Activities include a walk-a-thon, a car wash, food & drink, music, and activities for children.

Live entertainment is also planned with expected performances by the Control Band, King Vers and DJ Tete. The walk-a-thon starts at 5:00am; the car wash will be available from 8:00am and food & drink sale starts at 11:00am.

All proceeds from the various activities will be donated to the Art Saves Lives Foundation, Babe Ruth Baseball League and the Men’s Mental Health Organization. By the end of the day, the organizers are hoping to collect some sizeable funds for donation to the three named organizations, all of which are deserving in their own right.

The Art Saves Lives Foundation is helping to shine the spotlight on St. Maarten’s aspiring artists, many of whom want to pursue careers in the Arts. Thanks to the work of the Babe Ruth Baseball league, in just one year of being formed, a team of talented players from St. Maarten may be making their way to the Bahamas in July to participate in the first ever Caribbean Babe Ruth tournament – just in time for the upcoming baseball season in August. The Men’s Mental Health Organization focuses on mental health issues affecting men in the St. Maarten community.

The FUN fundraiser event will be hosted at TelEm in Philipsburg where the entire TelEm ground will be transformed into various stations of food, entertainment, car wash, etc. Persons interested in attending or supporting the event can contact 611 for more information or come on down on Sunday, June 26, to have some fun for a good cause!
