It has been a summer full of adventure for students at the Sint Marten Yacht Club (SMYC) Summer Sailing Camp. Many young sailors joined in and had weeks of fun, friendship, learning and adventure on the water.
Teams took on different challenges each week, under a different theme. One of the most fun themes was pirate week, where campers dressed up for a special photo shoot and embraced their pirate characters. There were five pirate crews: Treasure Hunters, Serious Sailors, Jolly Pirates, Coconut Crew, and Picky Parrots. They all competed in challenges, completed missions, and searched for their share of the treasure!
“We are incredibly proud of our campers and grateful to our instructors and staff who make this experience possible. Seeing the kids grow in confidence, develop their sailing skills, and build friendships is what makes Summer Sailing Camp so special,” say the instructors.
