PHILIPSBURG-- Lucas Meyers scored one goal and Daryl netted also as WillFul Skillful defeated Oualichi in the Under 7 division of the St, Maarten Football Federation youth competition. Willful won 2-0. Also Saturday Willful Faced Hotspurs and battled to a scoreless draw.
Shaniryo Allen would score two goals later in the day for Hotspurs as they squeezed past Soualiga 2-1.
Carlos Richardson scored for Soualiga.
Jayben Burton netted a pair and Orien Allen added one more to the tally sheet as Pelicans bested Soualiga 3-2. Lavante Pantophlet and Mordicai Elisa both found the back of the net for Soualiga.
Two games were played in the Under 9 division. Belvedere Football Club beat Hotspurs on a goal by
Jaheel Fleming.
Shayden Hilaire scored the game winner for United Super Stars against Oualichi.
The local Football Federation is also running a four team Mondialito, Country competition, for the Under 11 year olds at the L.B. Scott Sports Auditorium.
St. Martin clobbered St. Maarten in the competition opener 5-0. Next up the Netherlands bested Leeward Islands 3-0.
The Youth competition continues Wednesday.
