SIMPSON BAY—Four races, four winners.  It was consistency that paid off for Frits Bus and his crew on Island Water World as they won the St. Maarten Yacht Club’s annual Heineken Warm-up  Regatta Sunday.

“The Yacht Club is organizing a lot of races,” said Bus.  “The results of today’s regatta are proof the program is paying off.”
The warm-up is designed to help local sailors, and any visitors that arrive early,  prepare for the annual  Serious Fun St. Maarten Heineken Regatta which starts Thursday.
“In the racing class we had a different winner in every single race,” explained Bus. He continued, “some races where won with one second difference in corrected time and in several races four yachts finished within 20 seconds of each other.”
Island Water World won the day finishing in the top three in all the races.
The wind was unusually steady from the South East.
Normally Simpson bay is known for Fluky shifting winds.
