St. Maarten wins first match at Goodwill Invitational, 21-8

DOMINICA—Team St. Maarten won their first game in Netball U-16 Goodwill Invitational at the Netball Sports Facilities in Portsmouth Wednesday evening. St. Maarten defeated Dominica U-14 21-8.


The St. Maarten girls travelled on Saturday and had a few days of self-quarantine before the first whistle. Head Coach Lisa Timothy-Boothe maintains that the girls will perform well.

Thursday was a rest day. Teams resume play Friday with St. Maarten set to face Dominica U-16 B at 6:30pm. Saturday St. Maarten takes on Dominica U-16 Sat 7:30pm.
The final of the four team Invitational is set for Sunday at 7:30pm.
