St. Maarten Tae kwon do team honoured as best international

PHILIPSBURG--Grandmaster Theo Liu and his King Yen Tae kwon do School of St. Maarten have been named Outstanding International Team.  They will be honoured at the 2016 Puerto Rico International Championships March 12 to 13.
   Master Bill Zafiropoulos, notified Liu saying, “It’s my pleasure to inform you that St. Maarten has been selected by our organizing committee and the Mayor of the City to receive the Outstanding International team Award for your team performance and support to our International Tae kwon do Championship.”
  “Once again the children of St. Maarten make history,” said the grandmaster.  “The 2015 team consisted of 15 athletes ranging in age from six to 17. The team won 14 gold medals, nine silver and the Grand Champion Trophy.
  “This was an unexpected honour,” said Liu.
