St. Maarten officials attend Team Manager Workshop

BARBADOS--The St. Maarten Football Federation (SXMFF) was represented  at the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Team Managers Workshop in Barbados recently.

Dagmar Daal, SXMFF General Secretary and the Team Manager of the National Senior Men’s Team, Omar Hunter were among 20 regional officials who learned about the intricacies of effective national team and or club management through theory and hands-on practical opportunities. The workshop underlined the importance of the multi-faceted functions carried out by the team manager and the general secretary in the overall operations of the football machinery.
“This is yet another investment of CONCACAF in the development of football but also the internal organization of member associations, including SXMFF. This is more important this year since CONCACAF’s new national team competition, the Nations League, is due to start in September 2018 and Sint Maarten will also be participating,” said Daal.
The St. Marten national football team will be playing to following matches: September  10, (away game) Haiti versus. St. Maarten; October 12 (away game) Bermuda versus. St. Maarten; November 20 (home game) St. Maarten versus Dominica and March 25, 2019 (home game) St. Maarten versus. St. Martin.
“Both Mr. Hunter and I are therefore grateful for the knowledge imparted on us and we will be taking this information back to Sint Maarten so that we too can continue to empower other/more team managers of the Federation. All of this is done for the benefit of football in Sint Maarten,” said Daal.
