St. Vincent celebrates goal

MIAMI--League B Group Stage action in the 2026/2027 Concacaf Nations League continued on Saturday with two Group D fixtures. St. Vincent and the Grenadines took charge while French Guiana followed with a 2-nil win

Sint Maarten 2, St. Vincent and the Grenadines 4

League B action for the day opened with St. Vincent and the Grenadines securing a 4-2 victory over Sint Maarten in Group D at FFB Stadium in Belmopan, Belize.

Oalex Anderson handed St. Vincent and the Grenadines the lead with two early strikes, finding the back of the net from close range both in the 11’ and 24’. An own goal from Sint Maarten’s Sergio Hughes in the 34’ further extended the lead for SVG.

Anderson sealed his hat-trick and added a fourth for St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the 57’, capitalizing on a delivery from the left and finding the back of the net from the center of the box with a right-footed finish.

Sint Maarten shortened the deficit with two goals in the final stretch, with Mitchell De Nooijer scoring in the 74’ and Quinton Christina scoring in the 82’.

Belize 0, French Guiana 2

The second Group D encounter of the matchday presented a 2-nil shutout for French Guiana against Belize at FFB Stadium in Belmopan, Belize.

With the match remaining scoreless nearing the final minutes, it was French Guiana that found the breakthrough in the 78’ when Guy Anakaba opened the scoring with a right-footed rocket from the top of the box.

Jules Haabo extended the advantage for the visitors in the 84’ through a powerful right-footed hit to the top-right corner.
