ANGUILLA—In the A Class Champion of Champions race Sonic took first place having led the race for much of the way. In second place was De Wizard followed by Bluebird, Light and Peace and UFO. Real Deal, who won on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week did not race well in the championship but had the most points for the season and was declared Boat of the Year.
In the B Class champions race Upsetter was the winner with a surprise win having been in fourth place until the very end. In second place was Kedro’s Pride and third was De Storm. Stay Up 2 actually came in second place but was disqualified because one of the crew members jumped overboard which is against the rules. Upsetter was well ahead of the other boats in points and was declared Boat of the Year for the B Class.
