ST. EUSTATIUS--The St. Eustatius Softball Association competition started to heat up on the weekend. Lions played the City Boys on Saturday afternoon. Lions won 25-9. Carlos Spanner, the Lions’ shortstop was named the player of the game. He went 4 for 5 with 5 Runs Batted In.
On Sunday Thunderz played Los Tiburones. James Marlin, the shortstop led Los Tiburones to a 15-8 victory. He scored four runs and was a home run shy of the hitting for the cycle. Later that same day the City Boys played Dynamite. Short stop Osandney Beete, was named the player of the game. He went 4 for 5 to help Dynamite win 10-3.
