ORLANDO--Brendan Webster and Elijah Pantophlet represented Sityodtong Sint Maarten at Nak Su: War in the Jungle 2, an open-air Muay Thai event held at Caribe Royale Orlando on October 24. Coach Akeem Lewis accompanied the fighters.

Webster competed in the heavyweight class, while Pantophlet fought in the lightweight class. Both bouts were scheduled for three rounds under full Muay Thai rules.

Webster’s heavyweight bout was a back-and-forth contest, showcasing the full range of Muay Thai techniques as both fighters traded attacks. Despite suffering a low blow, Webster continued to press forward against his larger American opponent, ultimately coming up short in a decision loss.

Pantophlet faced an explosive opponent but maintained his composure, with his team believing he held the upper hand throughout the bout. Bad weather forced the match to be stopped in the final minute, resulting in a draw—a decision that surprised the Sint Maarten team.

The event provided Sityodtong Sint Maarten with an opportunity to showcase its fighters’ skills and build the gym’s presence on the international stage.

The trip was made possible in part by sponsors Pineapple Pete, GoSport, Caribbean Concrete and Sunset Beachbar.
