SESBA competition opens with offensive explosion

ST. EUSTATIUS -- The St. Eustatius Softball Association SESBA softball competition opened at  Fredrick ‘Sonny’ Cranston Sports Field on Sunday. The Lions played Los Tiburones. The game saw plenty of offensive action. Los Tiburones came out hot and rang up a 9 run lead.  The Lions fought back and pulled out the game at bottom of the 7th to win 13-12. The pitchers for the Lions were Gary Brown and Victor Henriques.


The second game featured Thunderz and City Boyz. Thunderz dominated from the first pitch. They scored 13 runs in the first inning. City Boys answered with 3 runs.
The offensive continued in the second. Thunderz padded the lead to 35-3. Thunderz won 40-3 in 4 innings.
The next game will be today, when Los Tiburones face Golden Rays.
