St. Maarten professional baseball pitcher, Franklin Van Gurp, made another appearance in the Arizona League for the Giants as they faced the A’s August 5. Van Gurp worked one inning. He struck out one, walked zero, gave up a hit but no one scored.
The A’s won 2-1. Van Gurp has already pitched in 10 games for a total of 13.2 innings. He already has 20 strike outs and an Earn Run Average of 1.98 with one win, two saves and one loss. He has given up two walks and beaned one batter. (Photo by Phrake Photography for 27 Outs Baseball.)
