 Parris wins Straight Pool Tourney as Austrie honoured for dedication

Patrick Austrie honoured for his discipline and dedication to the sport of pool.

MIDDLE REGION— Michael Parris won the Straight Pool Tournament at Sharks Pool Club in Middle Region Friday.
Parris faced Chris Madray in the final and won 70 to 54. The competition was organized by R.H. Pool Club Academy and featured a Pool Ring as first place prize.
“This was the sixth and final ring, to be won this year,” said Rodolphe Hyman from the Academy.
Before the first break Patrick Austrie was honoured for his years of service to the Pool Federation and dedication toward the game.
“Patrick is a very disciplined player. For 15 or more years he come to play in every tournament,” said Hyman. “Win or lose, he never gets mad.”
