Night vision required for Points of View run

MARIGOT--The Points of View run organised by SXtreme Runners Club took place last Saturday in Marigot after a postponement due to the heavy rains. This was the first time the race has been organised at night.

President Andy Armongon said the club wanted to make a change. “We’ve turned it in into an urban run at night which gives it a different atmosphere, and its much cooler. Also, some runners prefer running on a hard surface compared to off-road trails.”
Some 90 runners and walkers took part, walkers departing from the Galisbay car park at 6:30pm and runners at 7:00pm. The 9K course included three main view-points from which the race takes its name; top of Concordia above Electricité de France (EDF) offices, the climb up to the water reservoir, and lastly the finish on Fort Louis.
