PHILIPSBURG--The Sint Maarten Football Federation (SXMFF), in cooperation with Rainforest Adventures NV (Rainforest), the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) and the Royal Belgian Football Association have together invested in the construction of a mini-football field next to Emilio Wilson Park.
All these partners came together after hurricane Irma for the benefit of the development of football in Sint Maarten. Although there was a soft opening on the 6th of August, 2018, the official opening will take place on the 6th of September, 2018; one year after hurricane Irma caused destruction to Sint Maarten and the island’s sport facilities.
International guests, including representatives from the KNVB and CONCACAF, will be attending the official opening.
Emilio’s Sports Corner is open to everybody in the community who wishes to train at the field and it can be reserved by sending an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The hourly fee before 18:00 is USD 15 and USD 20 after 18:00.
